Snapchat+ subscribers in the U.S. can now create custom AI stickers that match their messages. Users simply type in the chat bar, select the sticker search button, and an AI-generated sticker featuring their text will appear. While Meta and Apple also offer AI-powered sticker creation, Snapchat+ enhances the chat experience with seamless integration.
This feature builds on Snapchat+’s AI-generated images tool, launched in 2023, which allows subscribers to generate images from text prompts. By introducing custom AI stickers, Snapchat continues to give users creative ways to personalize their conversations with generative AI.
Snap Modes: Self-Destructing Snaps and More
Snapchat+ is also rolling out Snap Modes, a new way to interact with friends. The first available option lets users send self-destructing Snaps that disappear if they remain unviewed within a set time frame. Snapchat plans to introduce more Snap Mode options in the future.
Snapchat+ Growth and Revenue Impact
Snapchat+ has become a significant revenue driver for the platform, now boasting 14 million subscribers. During its Q4 2024 earnings report, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel revealed that the company’s “other revenue” unit—primarily fueled by Snapchat+ subscriptions—grew 131% year-over-year, reaching an annualized revenue run rate of over $500 million.
With the introduction of AI-generated stickers and Snap Modes, Snapchat continues to enhance its premium offerings, making Snapchat+ a more compelling option for users seeking exclusive, AI-driven features.
