The GoFundMe team is looking for a Social and Community Manager to help manage the day-to-day activity on primary social accounts, oversees social listening and community engagement, and flags or actions comments to ensure timely and thoughtful interactions that foster a positive brand presence

Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day activity on primary social accounts, including posting, monitoring, and maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Monitor mentions, trends, and community sentiment across platforms, identifying opportunities to engage or flagging critical conversations.
- Respond to comments, messages, and community inquiries promptly and thoughtfully to foster meaningful connections and trust
- Flag and action comments or issues that require escalation to internal teams such as Care, Product, or PR
- Stay up to date on platform updates and trends to ensure the brand is using best practices for engagement and growth
- Passionate about fostering positive, impactful interactions and building an engaged, supportive online community
- Capable of juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast, Telecommunications, or video production from four-year College or university.
- Must have 5-7 years of professional video production experience.
- A showcase reel demonstrating end products and identifying role served for productions (must be included with application).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Mac and PC operating systems.
- Must be able to learn new technologies and become a power user.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Da Vinci, and other media production software.
- Excellence in professional video gear (Blackmagic, Sony, and Canon Cinema cameras, lighting systems, field audio recording systems).
- Experience interviewing people of various backgrounds that establishes trust while telling a story.
