About the Job: The Manager of Data Engineering will lead a team of six data engineers, oversee the development of Canoe’s data platform, manage project timelines, and drive team success while fostering a collaborative culture and delivering innovative data-driven solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our Data Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with data modeling, pipelines, and infrastructure, as well as be a strong technical leader that has a history of delivering impactful results. You’ll play a key role in overseeing and guiding Data Engineering work, cultivating technical talent, and accelerating Canoe’s product growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six data engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting professional growth and development.
- Drive the hiring process to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize technical projects.
- Drive the design and development of Canoe’s data platform.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
- Identify and mitigate risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure a continuous flow of information within the team.
- Adapt to changing requirements and provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
