About the Job:
Main duties of the job
As a Health Care Assistant you will be supporting patients with their personal, tailored individual needs including washing, dressing and toileting, taking patient meal orders ensuring to order what is right for them and being able to identify different dietary needs such a soft diet, puree diet, vegetarians and halal. Serving meals and helping to feed patient who can no longer do this for themselves, helping patients to mobilise and to move around, making beds, monitoring patient conditions by carrying out observations and inputting patient information onto our electronic record systems.
You must have excellent communications skills and be able to communicate any concerns that you may have or if you feel as though a patient is deteriorating or doesn’t seem right, you must be able to communicate with patients, doctors, therapists and patient families. You must be friendly and approachable and willing to learn.
