Job responsibilities
Working with the nurse team, providing care for patients as directed by the practice nurse or GP; the post holder will be required to use their own initiative but must be able to recognise their own limitations and seek guidance where necessary.
Dermatology practice includes:
Assisting the Consultant Dermatologist or GPwSI in dermatology clinics either in the consulting room or the minor operations theatre.

Qualifications
Essential
- – Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in HCA or Health and Social Care.
- – GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths (or Literacy / Numeracy at Level 2 or above).
- – Fully trained in Phlebotomy.
Desirable
- – Fully trained in assisting in minor procedures.
Experience
Essential
- – Experience of working in primary care.
- – Experience of working unsupervised.
Desirable
- – Experienced phlebotomist
- – Experience of working in a GP practice
Skills
Essential
- – Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- – Excellent IT skills
- – Uses initiative
- – Able to prioritise
