About the Job:
Main duties of the job
- Supporting the clinical team to deliver high quality care to patients and their families.
- Support with auditing and stock checks as required.
- Participate in regular meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
- Undertake skill set appropriate tasks as required.
- To assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
- Have an awareness of the waste management policy and ensure that it is adhered to.
- To receive and convey information from telephone or personal enquiries in a courteous manner and ensure all persons visiting the clinic are greeted and assisted in a welcoming and supportive manner.
- To assist and support the clinical team and clerical staff in administrative duties as required.
- Use the Health Care Assistant competency framework to enhance and develop skills in the clinical area.
- Moving and handling practices should be safe and as taught in training.
- Keeping up to date with mandatory training.
- Continuous effective communication to patients, staff and the wider MDT.
- Reporting and investigating incidents, near misses and complaints, escalating issues to the Clinical Services Manager and implementing changes when necessary.
- Ensuring the clinical environment is safe for staff and patients and following the process for escalation if there are risks to the health and safety of staff and patients.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
