Main duties of the job
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages, adhering to established protocols.
- Verify patient identity and specimen labelling to maintain sample integrity.
- Prepare blood collection equipment, ensuring proper sterilisation and disposal protocols are followed.
- Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean work area.
- Record and document collection and procedure information accurately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Work with Practice management and clinical professionals to support your development and training in managing long term conditions in line with local and national guidance.
