About the Job:

Phlebotomy of adult patients, on Saturdays 09:00 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 16:30

Also NHS health checks, diabetic checks, prediabetic checks and flu vaccines depending on experience, plus training available.

Main duties of the job

Phlebotomy of patients aged 14 or over.

Health checks involving checking lifestyle including smoking, alcohol, exercise and diet. Measuring blood pressure , weight, height and BMI and cardiovascular disease risk, and diabetic feet check.

Job responsibilities

Working for Spring Grove Medical Practice, Saturday 09:00 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 16:30

Pay £17.72p/hour plus 12.07% holiday supplement gives £19.85p/hour

Duties involve adult phlebotomy, NHS health checks, diabetes annual reviews and prediabetes annual reviews.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Fully qualified phlebotomist.

Desirable

Care certificate qualification for Health Care Assistants, or other health professional qualification.

Experience

Essential

Experienced and capable phlebotomist of adult patients.

Desirable

Experience of working in general practice, and of carrying out health checks including diabetes foot checks.
