Main duties of the job

Phlebotomy of patients aged 14 or over.

Health checks involving checking lifestyle including smoking, alcohol, exercise and diet. Measuring blood pressure , weight, height and BMI and cardiovascular disease risk. Plus with more experience ECGs, 24 hr ABPMs, diabetic checks.

Training practice for GP registrars and F2 junior doctors, and allied health professionals including pharmacists, physicians associates etc.

7,500 patients

Diverse mixture of ethnic minority patients

4 regular doctors plus trainees

Spacious purpose built premises

Wide range of services including IUD insertion, contraceptive implants, ECGs, minor surgery, INR testing, in-house phlebotomy

Job description

Job responsibilities

Working for Spring Grove Medical Practice, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 08:30 to 12:30, plus often Saturday overtime clinics.

Pay £15.06/hour plus paid 4 weeks holiday and bank holidays pro-rata.

Duties involve adult phlebotomy and health checks mainly. Also ECGs, diabetic checks, 24 hours ABPMs etc.
