Main duties of the job
As one of the country’s few Elective Orthopaedic Specialist Hospitals, ‘The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital’ receives referrals & transfers only and therefore has no ‘Emergency Department’. This allows our team to focus their attention on the delivery of truly holistic and patient centred care.
With multi-professional team working we are continually enhancing the patient journey and experience with high quality, evidence-based care delivery. This includes, Critical Care Outreach, Tissue Viability, Safeguarding, Infection Prevention and Control any many more.
We have a strong commitment to education and training and will provide a comprehensive package of learning and skills-based competency, supported by senior clinical staff. All new starters will be offered a period of supernumerary practice and will be supported to complete the Care Certificate training programme if you have not already done so. We understand that changing jobs or embarking on a new career can be daunting, but we will support you all the way.

Candidates that are shortlisted will be invited to an assessment day, where they will undertake a numeracy and literacy tests, followed by an interview if a passable mark is gained in the tests.
