Barnsley Hospitals Orthopaedic Elective Ward now has a permanent full-time healthcare assistant vacancy available.

We are a 19 bedded ward delivering care to elective patients ranging from day cases to major joint replacement surgeries. Ultimately, we assist patients in their recovery alongside Medics and Therapists to achieve their optimal level of independence and safe discharge home.

With significant delays in elective surgery as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, our service is recovering to combat the long waiting lists. So, we are seeking someone passionate and enthusiastic to join the nursing team to achieve optimal recovery and timely turnaround for patients in a dynamic environment.

We are dedicated to delivering a high standard of evidence-based care, ensuring a supportive, friendly and safe environment for both patients and staff.
