Main duties of the job

  • This post holder will be required to work at Stanmore site The Prosthetics Department is located on the hospital site at Stanmore. There may be the opportunity to crossover within the RNOH Therapies departments. Applicants should have good written and spoken English, be able to work productively within a team setting and demonstrate initiative.
  • You should be polite & professional at all times. Have a flexible approach to work, good time keeping and have the ability to work under pressure.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The main duties of the role include:

Monitor the Prosthetics department reception desk/ phone to assist all patients and visitors. The successful candidate would be the central point of contact for patients and visitors attending Prosthetics; promoting a positive corporate image and good patient care.

To book, amend, cancel and reschedule appointments, in consultation with allied health professionals, patients, relatives and carers

To deal with telephone enquiries, in a polite and helpful way, forwarding calls to the correct extensions or taking accurate messages, ensuring they get passed on.

To assist patients with daily living activities

  • To assist patients with Transport booking
  • To support AHP staff with patients appointments and perform basic dressings to wounds
