About the Job:
Assist trained staff within the Outpatient setting to deliver a range of patient care duties, recording patient information, and supporting the provision of an efficient and comprehensive phlebotomy service to the Paediatric Directorate.
Main duties of the job
- Establish and maintain communication with people about routine and daily activities overcoming any differences in communication between the people involved
- Develop own skills and knowledge and provide information to others to help their development
- Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others in own work area
- Assist in maintaining and developing services
- Ensure own actions help to maintain quality
- Ensure own actions support equality, diversity and rights
- Assist in assessing people’s health and wellbeing and related needs
- Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating programmes to meet people’s health and wellbeing needs
- Assist in the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment
- Undertake venepuncture and cannulation within the paediatric outpatient environment.
