Job responsibilities
Main responsibilities and duties
– Phlebotomy
– Blood pressure checks
– ECG test (but not the reading and assessing of the results)
– Vaccinations (flu, B12, Covid) **
– NHS Health Checks
– Urinalysis
– Height and weight recording
-Physical checks for patients with serious mental illness (SMI) and learning disabilities (LD)
– Dressings
– Supporting GPs and practice nurses with long term condition reviews
– Health promotion and signposting to services
– On site chaperoning
– Processing laboratory samples
– Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
– Ordering of medical equipment
– Surgical equipment restocking / stock rotation
– Clearing and restocking consultation rooms
– Assisting GPs during minor surgery
