About the Job:
Main duties of the job
- To work closely with the Practice Nursing team and Doctors
- NHS Health Checks, Enhanced Health Checks and LD Health Checks
- Annual Hypertension, CKD, CHD health reviews
- Diabetic foot checks
- ECG recording
- Feno Testing
- Foot checks
- Phlebotomy
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
- Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient’s health and well being
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
- Blood pressure checks
- Administering flu (and other) vaccinations
- B12, Shingles and Flu injections (with additional Training)
- Helping with all other chronic condition monitoring, to assist Chronic Disease management following practice protocols.
- To be responsible for organising own workload as the main resource for Cardiovascular disease clinics checks for the housebound and practice population
- Assisting GPs with minor surgery
