About the Job:
Main duties of the job
- To assist Registered Nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team in implementing patients’ care plan. Also undertake some clerical and domestic duties to ensure a safe environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Desirable
- Previous experience and training of manual handling patients using appropriate equipment
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of promoting patient independence
- Able to provide support and reassurance to patients
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
Essential
- Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Health & Social Care OR A good standard of general education to GCSE level and the agreement to undertake the relevant L2 qualification on appointment
- Completion of the Care Certificate theory and practice standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
Desirable
- Experience working in a clinical environment
- Experience working in the NHS
