About the Job:Â
As a Registered Nurse (RGN) within the hospice Inpatient Unit, you will provide compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care to patients and their families.
- You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Your role will prioritise patient comfort, dignity, and holistic support, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Working closely with colleagues, you will ensure the seamless delivery of care, supporting effective symptom management and maintaining a calm and therapeutic environment.
- You will also contribute to the smooth running of the unit, acting as a shift leader when required, providing supervision and mentoring to junior staff, and participating in service development initiatives.
- As part of the wider multidisciplinary team, you will engage in reflective practice, share knowledge, and ensure high standards of evidence-based care are maintained.
- Maintaining excellent communication and clinical standards is essential.
